wait so, is marcille like izutsumi and faryln now? but instead of an animal soul, she's combined with thistle's soul??

That could be a plot twist, but from what’s given as of now Thistle just revived her. He’s technically still alive (unless he died offscreen after everyone left the house) & his soul is still inside his body. He’s in a similar situation as Mithrun but in his case all his desires were eaten and so lacks the will to do anything.
While the winged lion ate most of Thistle’s desire, in his final moments he desired to live (“I don’t want to disappear”) and desired for Marcille to stop the demon(”somebody… in my place… stop that thing”) right before reviving her & getting finished off.
Iirc the only time we really see a revival spell is when Laios & co were killed by the rabbits, and from what we were shown Marcille didn’t do anything complicated. (They’re also revived after Marcille was revived, but the process was cut out) So we dunno how complicated the spell is, but it can be assumed that Thistle’s magic was a special case either due to his power as the dungeon master/Mad Sorcerer or dire-circumstance.
We still don’t know the specific of the Yaado doll, but from what we see his case is different, as his soul was intentionally removed from his human body and placed into another (empty) vessel. Similar to how ghosts/ghouls work (ghosts possess corpses by pushing the original soul out as ghosts), and how his grandfather/king used his son’s empty body to escape.
Ok but it is extremely depressing to think Ingo got plucked from his home into a harsh environment and lived as an amnesiac lonely man for “XX years”. Double digits. 10 years? 20? maybe 30? Who knows. Possibly longer than his original life with his brother. Long enough to accept his faith, loyally dedicate his life for the hisui people, and not look for a possible way back home. And no official assurance he will ever go back.
And for what purpose? *shrug* Oh nothing, just an accident.
Hmm it’s small but the left bottom art, presumably Ingo right after being dropped into Hisui, says “XX years ago“. So combined with what we see in game,
- He’s been stuck in Hisui for decades
- He’s pretty old? I think?
- He gives zero fucks about his hair (IIRC his BW/BW2 hair was similar aside from the hairline)
So I heard they buffed Ingo in the new PLA update?
- His Pokemons are stronger! OR he was just going easy on you previously
- His Pokemon’s Effort levels are apparently maxed, of course it is
- New rules and battle modes!
- He studies & adopts Hisui tradition to his battle style (3v1)
- He caught a ton of other Pokemon for one of the challenges
- He persuades (not catch) WILD Alpha Pokemons for the other challenge
- He also has more people coming to the training grounds
- etc…
This guy is successfully building Hisui Battle Facility on his own, someone please stop this man he’s too strong-
(no seriously, I’m seeing a lot of players on Twitter who were like “aww I feel bad for this guy 😥” start to hate him cuz he’s too strong lmao)
I love how the Submas community thinks that Ingo is an old man when PLA is most likely pre-BW and therefore he may be younger than the Ingo we know by a few years. Considering that Dawn/Lucas are 12 during DPPT and that Caitlin is 14 during Platinum, but anywhere from 17-27 while Akari (Dawn) / Rei (Lucas) are 15 in Legends Arceus. Knowing that Caitlin is an adult, we can amp her up to be 18-20 at the least by BW. Which means that Legends Arceus occurs anywhere from 4-6 years before BW at least. Meaning this 30 year old man who runs a subway might be in his mid or early twenties depending on just how old he is in BW. Dilf at 23 with no ambitions.
i get your point but also… there is no guarantee that ingo fell through from the same point in time as rei/akari. it’s likely that ingo is just a regular Faller (we don’t know much about the mechanics of Fallers, so it could encompass time travel as well as interdimensional travel), meaning whatever wormhole he fell through could have been from any point in time and space. he might have fallen through from further down the timeline than the protag came from. or they’re even from two different universes! (but lbr. they’re totally intended to at least be from the same universe, even if they originated from different points in time.)
People think Ingo is old due to his posture (his back & knees are bent, he occasionally place his arm behind him like an old man), face (beard, looks very dead inside tired, bags/lines under his eyes) and worn clothes (how long does it take for a uniform made with what looks like tough material to get that torn?).
You also have to consider that Akari/Rei spent a few days in Hisui before meeting him, but at that point he’s been there long enough to gain decent knowledge of the Pokemon and geography of the region, enough trust from locals to be given position of Captain in the Pearl clan, AND be ignored when Akari/Rei get banished.
